A bar bending schedule lists every reinforcement bar in a member — diameter, shape, number, cutting length — and computes the steel weight. It is used to order steel, control wastage and bill reinforcement. Weight per metre = D²/162 (D in mm).

What to include
- BBS header — project, member, BBS number, drawing reference, steel grade.
- Member & bar dia — element and bar diameter (mm).
- Shape, Nos, Cutting Length — bar shape code, count and cut length.
- Total Length — = Nos × cutting length, auto-calculated.
- Unit & Total Weight — unit weight = D²/162; total weight = length × unit weight.
How to prepare it (step by step)
- Fill the project, member and drawing reference.
- For each bar: enter diameter, shape, number and cutting length.
- Total length and steel weight calculate automatically (D²/162).
- Sum the total weight to order steel and control wastage.
- Reconcile against actual steel consumed via material reconciliation.
